Richard has restored my late Father's desk. It had deteriorated over the years and now needed some expert TLC in order for it to be brought back to the lustre that I remember as a small boy. His resulting repairs and careful polishing has transformed the piece into a beautiful working desk with a wonderful glowing patina. This sympathetic restoration was exactly what I wanted and it now stands ready to last for a few more generations! Richard is a swift but superb craftsman and his prices are superb value. I was very pleased with the work undertaken by Richard Gibson on a side table owned by my late Mother. It was badly stained and very sad looking but wanted to keep it as remembered from years back. The table has had new life put back into the wood-----really a beautiful job. I was impressed with the very reasonable quote ,the work undertaken and completed speedily and with great efficiency. Abercorn Workshop has recently renovated my mahogany dining table and chairs together with a mahogany display cabinet and two occasional chairs. All of the furniture has been restored to perfect condition and I am exceptionally pleased with the outcome. The level of craftsmanship is of the highest order and I would certainly go to Abercorn again. The final bill was as initially quoted and I was kept informed of progress while the jobs were being done. I have had 25 years use from the furniture and it has now been given another 25 years of life. I could not buy the same again in a shop. Well done Abercorn!!
